The ‘Confidence Gap’ represents the difference in self-confidence between genders, where women often tend to have lower levels of confidence compared to men. This gap can manifest in various aspects of life, such as the workplace, education, and personal relationships. It might mean that women are more hesitant to voice their opinions, negotiate for better opportunities, or take on leadership roles due to self-doubt or societal expectations.
Kérastase and British Chamber of Commerce are united in their mission to support and empower young girls and women aged 18-29 years old in Czechia and Slovakia through our free flash mentoring program: Power Talks. The initiative intends to help women recognize their potential, build their self-esteem, and develop the skills and mindset needed to overcome the Confidence Gap and achieve their aspirations.

ONE POWERFUL CONVERSATION, LASTING IMPACT
Power Talks is a flash mentoring program designed to boost your self-confidence in just one impactful session.
This year, you will have the option to choose between an online and an offline format.
The program is conducted entirely in English.

Here’s how offline session works:
Step #1
Complete the registration form. Make sure to do it as soon as possible (first come, first serve).
Step #2
Wait for the confirmation of participation via e-mail.
Step #3
Attend an offline session at the selected university premises and enjoy the opportunity to grow and network.
The session will last for 2 hours with the experienced mentor.

Who will I meet at the Offline Session?
At the offline session, you can look forward to two inspirational speakers:
Karolína Kabelka Wernerová
@karolinakabelka is an entrepreneur, mother, and founder of the creative marketing agency KW Creative.
She is also a prominent voice on social media, sharing insights on marketing, confidence, and personal growth.
She will be delivering the opening talk.
Lenka Vornhagen
Lenka is a certified coach and mentor focused on personal growth, confidence, and career development.
She helps individuals better understand themselves, overcome challenges, and move forward with clarity.
She will be leading the mentoring session and workshop.

Established in 2014 at the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE), SKOK (Student Club of Business and Competitiveness) is a dynamic student association dedicated to bridging the gap between academia and the business world. SKOK facilitates networking, education, and skill development through specialized workshops, international excursions, and its regular flagship networking event, the Business Cocktail. Driven by the belief that continuous personal growth is essential for future success, SKOK empowers ambitious students to prepare for their careers. As a communication partner for the Power Talks program, we are thrilled to support this vision and provide another great opportunity for students to stay one SKOK (leap) ahead.
Here’s how online session works:
Step #1
Select a mentoring topic that interests you, complete the registration form, and we’ll let you know if you’ve been selected.
Step #2
We will then pair you with an experienced female mentor who will guide you on your self-confidence journey.
Step #3
Attend a mandatory Mentoring Navigations Workshop (1h of your evening) to get ready for your mentoring session with practical tips and insights.
Step #4
Get empowered at our Main Mentoring Session (2,5h of your evening) hosted by @emamuller and featuring:
- Keynote speech with a well-known female leader
- 1,5h mentoring in the 2to1 format (1 mentor and 2 mentees who share a similar confidence goal)
Step #5
Submit feedback and receive a travel sized Kérastase product. This is our gift to you for sharing your insights and completing the programme.
Step #6
Become part of our Power Talks community and get tips on further mentoring options, event invitations, and news from Kérastase.
